Viola "Dolly" Jean Mapes (nee Miller)

Cincinnati - Viola "Dolly" Jean Mapes (nee Miller). Beloved wife of the late Jack Allen Mapes. They exchanged wedding vows on June 7, 1958. Devoted mother of Mark (Diana) Mapes and Tom Mapes. Cherished grandmother of Lindsey (Kyle) Johnson, Jackie (Daryn) Meadows, Molly Mapes, and Marissa Mapes. Loving great-grandmother of Wallace Johnson, Jake Johnson, Penny Johnson, Sophia Johnson, Liam Meadows, and Eliot Meadows. Viola was 1 of 12 children that Harold & Elizabeth Miller were blessed with. She was also survived by many dear nieces and nephews from both sides of the family.  Preceded in death by her parents, the late Harold & the late Elizabeth Miller. Viola passed away on October 24, 2023 at the age of 93 years. Formerly of Hamilton, OH. Lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church (Mt. Healthy). Viola loved her coffee, flowers, water coloring, puzzles, and plants. Graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3rd from 11 AM until time of the Funeral Service at 12 PM at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy, OH 45231.
