Tim was born in Oxford, Ohio to Amy Elizabeth (nee Duckett) and Harry Dunaway on February 7, 1938. He was raised in Oxford, and in 1964 he married the woman who would become his wife of 55 years, Beatrice Gray of Hamilton.

Tim proudly served as a US Marine in the United States Marine Corps and was honored to be an American veteran. He was a painter his entire life and worked through the Painter's Union and was also self employed. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to get outside to go hunting, fishing and camping in his spare time.

He was the beloved husband of the late Beatrice (nee Gray) Dunaway; devoted father of Tina (Jeff) Andrews and stepfather of Robin (Ray) Chenault; cherished grandfather of Jay (Julie) Andrews, Ryan (Kellie) Andrews, Crystal (Brad) Clark, Lyndsi (Patrick) Serdula and Michael Chenault; loving great-grandfather of Kari, Ashlyn, Sydnie, Seth, Rylan, Jase, Oliver, Kimberly, Ethan, Nathan, Zach, Prestan, Aurora, Jameson, Alyx, Oaklynn and Hayden; dear brother of Opal (Kent) McDaniel and Jeanie (the late Troy) Sullivan; also survived by many nieces and nephews who were very special to him. Tim was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and his siblings: Jay Dunaway, Betty Jo Hargett, Charles Dunaway, Eilene Napier and Robert(Bob) Dunaway.

A visitation for Tim will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 10 am until time of service at 12 pm in Oxford, Ohio at Paul R. Young Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Oxford Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash for their loving care of Tim and tremendous support of the family overall. There were many wonderful caregivers, but a special thanks goes to JoBeth, Jenn, Chava and John.
