Terri L Brooks was born in Connersville IN. She was the beloved wife of John R (Jack) Davis for 28 beautiful years. Devoted mother of Rebecca (Auggie) Alfred of Oxford OH, Kimberly (Derrick) Parker of Hamilton OH. Step mother to Drew Davis of Cincinnati OH. Dear sister of Sherry (David) Hughes of Williamsburg VA, Deborah Enghaus of Colorado Springs CO. Loving cousin of Judy Vanatta of Connersville IN, Jimmie Craft of CA. Terri was a proud Grandmother of 9 and Great Grandmother of 22 who lovingly and respectfully called her "Grandma Hot Dog" Terri is survived by many treasured nieces and nephews. Terri was preceded in death by her parents, her younger sister Suzie Potts and her previous husband Wayne Brooks.

Terri's remarkable career began after taking some typing and administrative lessons prior to working for Southwestern Publishing Corporation. She later joined American Financial Group as a temporary Executive Assistant, and after only three weeks, was hired full-time on May 12, 1987. What began as a temporary opportunity became an accomplished 35 year career. Terri quickly advanced from managing the Mail Room to taking on increasingly important roles throughout the company. When she retired on July 8, 2022, at age 70, she held the title of Assistant Divisional Vice President of AFG Business Support Services, overseeing eight departments and nearly 100 employees. Her determination, leadership, and strong work ethic earned her the respect of many throughout the American Financial Group and Great American Insurance Company.

Away from work, Terri loved camping. What started with a small tent, eventually grew to a 39 ft fifth wheel RV that Terri surprised Jack with by purchasing at an RV show. When asked how he liked it, she said "it's ours!" Countless memories were made traveling together. Seven family vacations to Myrtle Beach, trips to Williamsburg, Gatlinburg, Indiana whitewater, Brookville mounds, and Hueston Woods. In 2016 , they found a permanent home for it at Monkeyland near Oxford, which became a close gathering place for the entire family. Terri's family was the most important thing to her. Halloween and Christmas were by far her favorite holidays and decorating for the all the kids. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren lovingly knew her as "Grandma Hot Dog," and the time spent together created memories that will be cherished for generations.

Terri lived a life defined by determination, accomplishment, adventure, and an unwavering love for her family. She touched countless lives throughout her journey, and the memories she created will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation for Terri will be held on Thursday, September 10th, 2026 at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Oxford at 10 am until funeral service at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Terri's name to Shriners Children's or the American Cancer Society
