Devoted mother of Stephen (Care) Madaris, Sue Madaris, Greg (Nancy) Madaris, Marianne Madaris, Brigid (Paul) Naglich and Robert (Dol) Madaris. Dear Grandmother of Aaron (Tori), Meg (Trevor), Kiri (Nolan), Kendra, Sean, Reed and Nickolas. Dear Aunt of Jennifer Fox. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Bud and Alice Franks, her sister Mary Bailey, her nephew Marc Bailey, her son Greg Madaris, and her daughter Marianne Madaris. Shirley attended Purdue University. She enjoyed working for the Council on Aging for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Shirley's visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Mt. Healthy from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 11 am. Burial at Crown Hill Memorial Park will follow immediately after the service. Donations in Shirley's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
