Ruth was born in Norwood, Ohio to Helen (nee Langenbucher) and William Tatgenhorst on June 21, 1921. She married the love of her life, Ken Jordan, and together they raised three children. Ruth is the beloved mother of Peggy (the late Bob) Russell, Thomas (Joan) Jordan and Debbie (Mark) Osborne; cherished grandmother of Bill (Tina) Russell, the late Mark Russell, Adam Russell, Heather Jordan, Chris (Shani) Jordan, Kenny (Sally) Jones, Kate (Mike) Robbe, Chris (Michelle) Osborne and Holly Osborne; loving great grandmother to twenty children and great-great grandmother to five children. She was also especially close to the Huster family, who all called her Grandma from a young age and continue to do so to this day. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents William and Helen, her husband Ken, her son-in-law Bob, and her grandson Mark.

A funeral service for Ruth will be held at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Mt. Healthy on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 1:30 pm with burial at Arlington Memorial Gardens to immediately follow.
