Roger W. - Beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Hill) Hammon for 55 years. Devoted father of Gay Hammon, the late Patricia Gluvna and the late Roger M. Hammon. Cherished grandfather of Nicole (Matthew) Osman and Jeffrey (Adriene) Ponke. Loving great-grandfather of Ada and Matthew. Preceded in death by his mother Helen Thompson, brother Raymond (Shirley) Hammon and sister Virginia Ritter. Roger passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the age of 86.

Roger proudly served in the United States Navy. He loved old bicycles and motorcycles and was a great collector of firearms and antique watches. He enjoyed visits to the local flea markets and antique stores to track down unique finds. Roger also liked to spend time reading and watching old movies. He had a particular soft spot for dogs, having many pets of his own over the years, but also having a great affinity for all dogs and their well being.

A visitation for Roger will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 6-8 pm at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Mt. Healthy. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment at Spring Grove Cemetery.
