Robert was born in Oxford, Ohio on August 18, 1975. He was a graduate of Talawanda High School and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Miami University. He was a longtime member of Oxford Presbyterian Church where he also served as Sexton for many years. He was known for his ability to relate well to young people and bring out the best in them. He enjoyed coming up with role playing games and creating depictions - complete with artwork - of various scenes. Robert was creative and compassionate; he will be deeply missed.

He is the beloved son of Karen (nee Boeckmann) and Joseph Simpson; cherished brother of Virginia (Ryan) Adams and Corey (Mary) Simpson; loving uncle of R.J. Adams, Patrick Adams, Charlie Simpson, Molley Simpson and Henry Simpson; and dear friend to many, including close childhood friend Nicholas Soika.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Oxford Presbyterian Church. Viewing will be from 12 pm until time of funeral service at 1 pm. There will be a time of fellowship in the Molenaux Lounge hosted by the Deacons after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert's name may be made to the Oxford Presbyterian Church (101 N. Main St. Oxford, Ohio 45056).
