Obituary

The meaning of obituary, to give notice of a departed loved one, and share a description of their life, really cannot due justice in this short notice of all that was our dearest, "Pat", Mr. Patrick Martin Evans. Pat made memories for us all in how he loved, laughed, and supported anyone that needed anything. He was always smiling, sharing wisdom, and his own memories of his life in the Navy, as a father, grandfather, and respected engineer. Pat proudly served his country in the US Navy during Vietnam primarily on the USS Pyro, ensuring all technical communications kept the Ship in operation. He earned the Vietnam Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. After his service in the US Navy, he worked for a prominent machine tool company as an electrical engineer for forty-five years. Even after his retirement he was consistently requested to give and heartfully gave expert consultation in electrical operations to persons in the industry. He never stopped learning, sharing, and making all things he touched work better! Pat was survived by his only son, Brian, his grandkids, Justin and Katelyn, his younger brother Kenny, his two sisters, Debbie and Judy, and his cousins Diane, and Kathie. Although not family, his great friend and neighbor, Ron, cannot be forgotten; and is much appreciated for his love and caring overwatch of Pat. For all that knew Pat, they would easily say Pat never met a stranger, and always made a friend. For his Son, and his Son's kids, they will never forget his positive and loving imprint on their lives, and he was the best Santa Claus ever! The world he touched is brighter, and the memories he made with all of us
will never be forgotten! Pat will depart this world at Sea, a place he served honorably for his Country. Rest in dear Peace, Pat until we all meet again!
