Nebiat Asefaw was born in 1990 in Huga-Una, located in the Senafe Sub-Zone of Eritrea's Southern Region, to her parents, Tuimzgi Asefaw and Abeba Syum. 

She completed her elementary in Medere and attended both middle and high school in Senafe. In 2009, Nebiat moved to Ethiopia, where she married Frezer Zewde Asgedom on May 25, 2013. Their marriage was blessed with four children: Bethelhem, Elias, Ariam, and Mussie. 

In May 2017, Nebiat immigrated to the United States with her two children and settled in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she was reunited with her husband, Frezer. Together, they continued to build their life and family, welcoming two more children in the years that followed. 

Nebiat was a devoted wife and mother whose greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Frezer Zewde Asgedom, and their children.

Nebiat passed away in a hospital on September 19, 2026.
