Mary Lorraine "Babe" Wise, age 95, of Oxford, Ohio, died peacefully Wednesday, March 27, 2024 after a full and joyful life.

She was born August 22, 1928 in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of Jim and Mary Tincher. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert E. Wise, who she married on her birthday, August 22, 1947. Lorraine was employed by Square D Company where she worked in the payroll department. An avid traveler, she was a tour director, starting her own travel company, Wise Tours. Lorraine had a servant's heart and was a longtime volunteer at McCullough-Hyde Hospital. She was very active in her church where she served as the Elder's wife. She organized social events in her home and at the church for the members.

Lorraine loved the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals and shared that love with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. But, Lorraine was most passionate about her family. She was ever present at school recitals, baseball games, graduations, weddings, baby showers and births. There was nothing she was more proud of than her family.

She is survived by her brother, Ralph (Shirley) Tincher; three children, Karen Wise (Ralph Bonwell), Kathy (Mike) Price, Bob (Gerry) Wise; and four grandchildren, Lori (Scott) Murray, Jason (Suzanne) Sternberg, Kari (Corrin) Warkentin, Eric Wise, son of Bob and Emily Wise; and seven great grandchildren, Aidan, Sam, Annette, Parker, William, Nora, and Samantha; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, and daughter in law, Emily Wise.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Paul Young Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, OH 45056. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow the visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m.
