Marlene was born to Amelia (nee Unger) and Joseph P Metz on August 28, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is survived by her husband Raymond A Koehlke. She is the beloved mother of Mark (Portia) Koehlke, Jeff (Mary) Koehlke, Steve (Missy) Koehlke and Lisa (Ron) Siciliano; cherished grandmother of Mark (Tina), Laura (Angie), Ashley (Blake), Cameron, Nick (Margot), Robin (Jordan), Kim (Scott), Maria, Aimee (Aaron), Alex (Chad), Kasey (Andrew) and Anthony; great-grandmother of Max, Addison, Aubree, Lincoln, Elaine, Skylar and Brantley; and great-great grandmother to Madelynn. She is also survived by her loving twin Marilyn (the late Larry) Chambers and her beloved niece Pat (Jim) Voegeli. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings Helen (Charlie) Rosenberger, Rita (Bob) Steiger, Bud (Kathy) Metz, Dorothy (Herman) Braun, Larry (Jean) Metz and Joe (Rosa) Metz.

Marlene was born at home which was amazing enough but what was even more amazing was that there were two babies. Fifteen minutes after Marlene arrived her twin sister Marilyn followed. They were placed in a wash basket with hot water bottles to keep warm. This is likely were Marlene's fighting spirit started and would remain with her throughout life. The twins referred to each other as the big sister Marlene and the little sister Marilyn. They shared a very special bond.

Marlene will be fondly remembered for her love of her dogs, her love of shopping, and her cooking. She enjoyed decorating the house with lots of "knick knacks" changing the décor often. She took pride in making sure both the inside and outside of the house looked impeccable. She had a beautiful smile and will be remembered for her laughter, often at herself. Marlene loved hosting family reunions and family gatherings which provided a backdrop for so many fond memories for the family to cherish.

Visitation for Marlene will be held at St. John Neumann Church from 9:30 am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Burial at Gate of Heaven will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marlene's name to Animal Friends Humane Society of Butler County or Hospice of Cincinnati.
