Madeleine was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Madeleine (nee Lautenschlager) and George Schnorbus on October 18, 1942. She is the beloved wife for over 53 years of the late Ronald Jerger, devoted mother of Madeleine Elise (Bill) Fessler, Ronald (Nancy) Jerger, Jr., Robert (Kimberly) Jerger, Rodney (Allison) Jerger and Roman (Leslie) Jerger; cherished grandmother of Madeleine "Maddy" (Jeff) Weinkam, Robby Fessler, Sarah (Henry) Halvorson, Brittany (Brandon) Creech, Roman (Katey) Jerger, Julia Jerger, Ronald Jerger, III, Christen Fessler, Rowan Jerger, Ava Jerger, and great grandmother of Madeleine "Rory" Weinkam, Briella Creech and Baby Boy Jerger due in April. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and parents.

Madeleine attended St. Vivian's Elementary School and graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1960. She has been a parishioner of St. Bartholomew Church for over 60 years. She worked as a retail purchaser in her early career. When she re-entered the workforce after her full time Mom work, she was a supervisor for years with RGIS. Finally, she spent over 25 years as a fundraiser representative until recently. She and her husband, Ron, partnered for almost 50 years working at various local auto dirt tracks - the longest at Florence Speedway. She and Ron were inducted in the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in 2016.

Madeleine was very involved in PTA, sports and music boosters for her children. She would attend as many sporting, music and theater activities that she could for her kids and grandkids and supported each of us in so many ways. Madeleine loved hosting family and friend gatherings. She was the "hostess with the mostest." Her food spreads were amazing, her pies were phenomenal, and there always needed to be a fruit and veggie tray. She also had a great love for animals, gardening and flowers. She was very fashionable and quite the shopper. She also had an interest in politics.

A visitation for Madeleine will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, 5-8 pm at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Mt. Healthy. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bartholomew Church in Finneytown on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:30 am with burial to immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Madeleine's name to Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue, which is where she adopted her beloved dog 13 years ago.
