Lorraine Pauline Donnell age 93 of Oxford, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 20, 2023 at Woodland Country Manor on her 93rd birthday.

Lorraine was born in Somerville, Massachusetts on May 20, 1930, the daughter of Ralph and Katherine Chapman. In 1952, Lorraine married the love of her life, Richard S. Donnell, Jr. She volunteered her time with the Girl Scouts of America, in which her daughters were involved, and with Planned Parenthood. Lorraine enjoyed spending her free time knitting, doing needlepoint and counted cross stitch embroidery. She loved watching movies, especially foreign films which she relished discussing and analyzing. She loved to read a good book, cherished caring for children and she also enjoyed cooking and baking for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Katherine Chapman and by siblings Ralph (Dorothy) Chapman, Gertrude (John) Powers, and Lillian (Ralph) Fader, her husband Richard S. Donnell Jr. and two sons: Ralph C. Donnell and Richard S. Donnell III. Lorraine leaves behind two daughters: Susan (William) Mescher and Leslie (Brian) Black, one son John (Karen) Donnell and daughter-in-law Maryann Donnell. She was a beloved grandmother to seven grandchildren: Robert (Erin) Donnell, Emma and Nick Donnell, Alexandra and Benjamin Donnell, and Jennie and Molly Mescher; and a loving great-grandmother to Liam and Ryan Donnell. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Lorraine will be laid to rest in Oxford Cemetery beside her husband in a private service at the convenience of her family.
