Lorene “Lori” Katherine Paglione passed peacefully on Sept. 29, 2026 at the age of 98. She was born May 31, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio to Martin and Elsie Shields. In 1954, she married Leo Paglione and together they built a life and raised 3 daughters in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

Lori was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who took pride in making her home welcoming and keeping it meticulous. She was known for her delicious pies, jiffy beef spread and pizzelles, which all became a beloved part of family holidays. She loved dancing, daily walks around the neighborhood and was quick minded with her cryptograms. She also enjoyed gardening, loved her flowers and had a fondness for birds, especially cardinals. Her home and flowers reflected the care and beauty she brought to those around her and everything she did. When Lori and Leo moved to Oxford, Ohio in 2004 their front porch quickly became a gathering place. This was where treasured friends came for an afternoon sit, her grandchildren and more recently, great grandchildren, came for hugs and sweets, and a place to go if you just needed to chat.

Lori was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, sister, Lugene, brother, Bill and special nephew Johnny. She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands: Becky (Steve) Madawick, Connie (Roger) Van Frank, Theresa (Mark) DiAsio. Grandchildren: Sarah (Jonathan) Affrunti, Lauren (Michael) Dirkse, Brent Madawick, Kyle (Mireya) Van Frank, Anna (Alex) Lim, Andrea (Josh) Ryan. Great-grandchildren: Luke, Seth, Vincent, Joel and Veda Mae Lorene.
