Karen was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 16, 1950 and passed peacefully at her residence in Oxford, Ohio on February 17, 2024. She is the beloved wife of Mark de Saint-Rat; devoted mother of Paul de Saint-Rat and Anne (Will Weisman) de Saint-Rat; cherished grandmother of Gavin and Colton Weisman; dear sister of Marjory Ray, Charlotte Martin, Don Eskins and Carl Eskins. She was preceded in death by her sister Elisabeth Eskins and her parents Katherine (nee Fetter) and Cecil Eskins. Karen graduated from Miami University with a degree in education. She spent 35 years in education, starting her teaching career in Harrison with the Southwest Local School District and finishing with Talawanda School District in Oxford. She loved her family and she also loved her Scottie dogs (Scottish Terrier) - a breed near and dear to her heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
