Obituary

We are gathered today to remember Judith Marie Martin. Also known as Judy, mom and grandma. Judy was born on the 3rd month 19th day of 1942 and was blessed with 83 years on this earth.
Judy was preceded in death by her son Michael King and son-in-law Eric Mullis. She is survived by her dear sister Amy Hill Imler (Clarence), three daughters Lisa Mullis, Tina Rouse (Gregory Rouse), Kimberly Schulz (Mitch Schulz), seven grandchildren Jessica Stanton, Michael Turner, Amanada Bass, Matthew Hall, Samantha Gossett, Ryan Mullis and William Rouse and seven great-grandchildren Michael Turner the 2nd, Lillian Hall, Sophia Turner, Aubree Gossett, Matthew Hall Jr., Avery Gossett, and Cooper Hall.
Judy loved her family and was loved in return. When the family was asked what words came to mind when they thought of Judy words like protector, anchor, giving, mother hen, love, family, all caring, non judgemental, caretaker, and loving started flowing.
Judy loved being surrounded by her family especially around the holidays. She was an amazing loving mom, grandma and friend. She was always willing to watch her grandchildren. In all she did she did with love from hugs to kisses to wazoo whippings. As she whopped their wazoos, she would ask them do you know why I'm whipping you? Because I love you. If she wasn't spending time with her family, she loved long hot baths, playing in the rain/water, planting flowers, yard sales, playing games, cooking, watching and talking about birds.
Love was her super power, she showed love in all she did. It is with heavy hearts we are here today and find great comfort in knowing she is a child of God, and we will see her again. We remember the hope of the resurrection "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
I Thessalonians 4:13-18.
