Joe Papania, beloved husband of Karen Papania for 54 years, passed away on June 25, 2023 at the age of 73. Welcoming Joe at Heaven's gates are his mother and father, Mildred and Joe Papania, and his brother, August (Gus) Papania.

Devoted father of Joe (Martha) Papania and Krista (Brad) Phillips. Loving brother of Peggy (Jim) Ruwe. Cherished grandfather of Christopher and Joshua Papania, and Collin and Erin Phillips. Proud uncle of Stephanie (Jason) Heidorn, Andrea (Amir) Rafi, Lindsey (David) Hammond and William Lambert.

Joe enjoyed sharing his love of magic with friends, family members, and even strangers. He was an active member in the Society of American Magicians at the Haines House of Cards and he made lifelong friends through his membership in The Beach Boys Fan Club. Joe also enjoyed taking his family to Reds games, attending concerts, and giving history lessons on a wide-range of topics.

Joe was a generous man who would give away anything he owned if he thought someone else could benefit. True to form until the end, Joe donated his body to science so that others could learn and care for the next generation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
