John was born in Harlan, Kentucky to Susie (nee Johnson) and John Fee, Sr. on June 17, 1937. He moved to Cincinnati in the late 1950s and there met his sweetheart, Edna Jean Fritzler. They were married on February 21, 1959 and they raised their family in Cincinnati. John proudly served in the United States Navy and was also a member of the Yeatman Masonic Lodge #162 F&AM. He was employed at Frank Tea & Spice Company (name later changed to Durkee Foods) and retired after 36 years of faithful service. John loved nature and had a way with animals. He enjoyed gardening, feeding the hummingbirds, and listening to Bluegrass music.

He is the devoted father of Susan Fee Payne and Joseph Ryan Fee; cherished grandfather of Bryce (Anna) Payne, Rachel Payne, Ryan Fee, Olivia (Sam Fitzgerald) Fee and great-grandfather of Aurora Fitzgerald; dear brother of Lovoyd (Gladys) Fee and Mack (Pam) Fee; he is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his beloved wife Edna Jean Fee; siblings Marion "Red" (Viola) Brittain, Laura Burgan, and James (Loretta) Fee; and his parents John and Susie Fee.

A visitation for John will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Mt. Healthy (Cincinnati) from 12 pm until the time of funeral service at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in John's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
