Jo-Ann Elizabeth Kerl (nee Weise) passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024, at the age of 83.

Jo-Ann is the loving wife of Donald. She and Donald were blissfully married for 61 years; beloved sister to John (Ann) Weise and Thomas L. Weise; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Elizabeth Weise, and her grandparents.

Jo-Ann graduated from the University of Cincinnati, Miami University, and Xavier University.  She had dual master's degrees in education and psychology. Jo-Ann served a one-year presidency term for the Trianon Sorority. While Jo-Ann was not blessed with her own children, she had about 2,000 after teaching kindergarten in Covedale and Finneytown for thirty years. She believed in the practice of positive behavior in her classes and took much pride in her work. In her free time Jo-Ann enjoyed gardening, knitting, cattery, and basket making.

The family will welcome Jo-Ann's family and friends for a visitation on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 10:30am- 12:00pm at Faith Lutheran Church, 8265 Winton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. The funeral service will immediately follow. Jo-Ann will be laid to rest in Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45232.
