Obituary

Jessie , 83, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026 leaving behind her daughter and son-in-law, three grandchildren including a grandson-in-law she welcomed into the family, and generations of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy. She also leaves behind countless friends she considered family and, of course, her beloved dog, Lucy.

If there was one thing everyone knew about Jessie, it was how fiercely she loved her family. She had a near-perfect attendance record when it came to sporting events, holidays, birthdays, and family celebrations. She showed her love by simply being there, and she was always there.

Her friendships meant just as much to her. She shared countless laughs, vacations, and memories with friends who became family over the years. She especially loved spending time with her friends at the pool, where catching up was just as important as working on the perfect tan. And Jessie wore that tan proudly.

To know Jessie was also to know the things she loved. She loved her dogs, trips to the casino, card games, the horse racing game, holiday Hallmark movies, craft shows, and, of course, shopping. A shopping trip could easily turn into another addition to her Vera Bradley collection.

Jessie was also known as the family planner. Mention an idea around her and, before long, she wanted to know when everyone was going, what the plan was, and, most importantly, where everyone was eating.

Jessie loved deeply, showed up faithfully, and made sure the people in her life knew they mattered to her. There will be an empty seat at so many of the celebrations she never would have missed, but there will also be a lifetime of memories, stories, and laughter to make sure she is still very much a part of them.

Her memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 13th from 11 AM until time of the Memorial Mass at 12 PM at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 2014 Springdale Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. Inurnment to follow at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences can be made here at www.paulyoungfuneralhome.com . Paul R. Young Funeral Home (Mt. Healthy) entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
