Jeanette Marie Mahlerwein

November 08, 1941 – December 08, 2023

Jeanette was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Mildred (Ruth Hutchinson) and Harmon Buhi on November 8, 1941. Jeanette spent many years working for the Soil and Water Conservation district. She was also an entrepreneur, setting up as a vendor at the Oxford Farmers Market, as well as owning the Stitch Shop of Oxford. She was a great cook, and expert seamstress, and loved to crochet gifts for her friends and family. She even judged crafts at the Butler County Fair. She always enjoyed cheering on her kids and grandkids in their sporting events or at the fair as they showed their livestock. Jeanette was a member of the Senior Citizen Center, and an active member of the Reily Presbyterian Church.

She is the beloved wife of Herman Mahlerwein; devoted mother of Tina (Richard) Mitchell, Douglas Mahlerwein, Diana (David) Wingate and Sharon Mahlerwein; Cherished grandmother of Brady Mahlerwein, Hunter (Chloe) Mahlerwein, and Great Grandmother to Sage and Jep. Dear sister of Maxine Craig, nieces Kelly (Joe) Ogborn two sons, Michelle (Ryan) Rice two sons.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 18, 2023 from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1 PM, all at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 5085 College Corner Pike, Oxford, Ohio. Immediately following funeral services, Jeanette will be laid to rest in Reily Cemetery.

The family would like to invite people to attend a gathering at Reily Presbyterian Church, 6370 Peoria Reily Rd, Reily, Ohio immediately following graveside services.
