Ivan was born on August 17, 1946 to Irene and Kenneth Gossett. He is the beloved husband of Paulette Gossett; devoted father of Timothy (Sammy) Gossett and Karen (Dave) Pendergrass; cherished grandfather of Jessica Davis, Brittany Spitznagel, Tiffany Spitznagel, Mark Spitznagel II, Dave Pendergrass, Aubree Gossett, Avery Gossett and ten loving great-grandchildren; dear brother of Anna Fox.

He was a faithful member of the Winton Place Baptist Church for 47 years where he served as Trustee and Treasurer for 20+ years.

A visitation for Ivan will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Mt. Healthy from 4pm until 6pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6pm. A graveside service will take place on Monday, December, 11, 2023 at 11am at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
