Ida Katherine "Kay" Shockley (nee Shelton)

SHOCKLEY, Ida Katherine "Kay," nee Shelton, beloved wife of the late Denzil Wayne Shockley, passed away on February 21, 2023, at the age of 99.

Loving mother of Denice (Tom) Stanforth, Donna (Jerry) Summers, and the late Diana Shockley.  Proud grandmother of Abby Summers, Stephen (Kelle) Stanforth, Kent (Katie) Dreier, and Amy Stanforth.  Great grandmother of eight, and great-great-grandmother of two.

Kay proudly served as a Corporal in the Women's Army Corp (WACS) during WWII, and was the recipient of the American Theater Ribbon, the Victory Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.

Kay had an outgoing personality and was an avid shopper.  She also supported the hairdressing industry all her life by having her hair styled weekly.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, March 1st at 1 PM at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Family & friends will be leaving, in a funeral procession, from Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy, OH 45231 ten minutes prior to the graveside service.
