Garry Eugene Perkins, age 74, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2026. Born in Toledo, Ohio, on July 9, 1952, Garry was a devoted father, brother, uncle, businessman, and Papaw. He leaves behind a legacy built on hard work, integrity, family, and faith.

Garry is survived by his beloved companion, Janice Lyons, and her son, Lee Behymer and his loyal four-legged best friend Zeus. He was a proud father to Daniel (Katie) Perkins and Jonathan Perkins. Few things brought him greater joy than being "Papaw" to Morgan, Jacob, and Charlotte Perkins, and he loved hearing about their games, activities, and accomplishments. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Tommie G. Roe, nieces Toni Fader, Sherry Marks, and Rene Roe, and his bonus son Dustin (Meghann) Littrell and their children Georgia and Beau.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Doris Perkins, and his sister, Lois M. Roe.

A graduate of Mt. Healthy High School, Garry briefly pursued classes focused on Real Estate but soon discovered his true passion in the world of rare coins. What began as a shared interest with his father grew into a lifelong career and calling. Garry founded The American Trading Company Original, a business specializing in rare coins, paper money, antiques, and jewelry. Through his knowledge, honesty, and enthusiasm, he earned the trust and friendship of customers and collectors alike.

Outside of work, Garry found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed watching or listening to the Cincinnati Reds, spending time in and around his swimming pool, and relaxing in the peace and quiet of his home. Most importantly, he treasured time with his family and remained steadfast in his faith throughout his life.

Those who knew Garry will remember his strong work ethic, his appreciation for history and collecting, his love for family, and a laugh that could fill a room and make anyone smile or laugh right with him. His absence will be deeply felt, but the memories he created and the values he shared will continue to live in the hearts of those who loved him.

Visitation will be held at Paul Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave, Mt. Healthy, OH 45231 on Friday,  September 4th, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
