Fred S Garnett, beloved father of Deanna Fletcher, Maria Garnett, Brent (Larissa) Garnett, and Kendra Garnett. Loving grandfather of Jericho and Ryder Fletcher, Landen Schaeff, Alex and Makenzie Garnett, and Regan Carpenter. Also survived by his brothers Charlie (Val) Garnett, Ron Garnett, JD (Tammy) Garnett, and Dick Parker and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of over 46 years, Rebecca Garnett, infant son Kenneth S., infant daughter Ruby Deanna, sister Joyce Parker, brother Dale Garnett, parents John and Helen Garnett, nephew Geff Garnett. Fred passed away on July 16, 2026 at home. He retired from Schneider Electric after 40 plus years and was honorably discharged from the Army after serving in Vietnam. He enjoyed coaching youth baseball and softball with his kids for many years. He loved watching the Reds and watching his grandkids play sports. He was an amazing father, husband, and brother who was always there for his family. A visitation will take place at Paul R Young Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, Ohio 45056, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 11:00am-12:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 12:00pm.  Burial will take place at Hopewell Cemetery.  Online condolences may be shared with the family on the Tribute Wall at www.paulyoungfuneralhome.com
