Fayrean was born to Zona (nee Perry) and Harlan Foust on May 23, 1937 in McCreary County, Kentucky. She was the third of five children and grew up a country girl and true coalminers daughter many generations deep. She met her sweetheart, William Sidney Marler, who was in the military and stationed in Honolulu. He sent for her to come out to Hawaii in 1955 and they were wed. She took a bus from McCreary County, Kentucky to San Francisco where she took a nine-day voyage on a freighter transport called the Dwight D. Allman Ship. She went halfway across the world for her sweetheart. William left her side after passing in 1986 but always remained in her heart.

She is the beloved mother of Randall (Abigail) Marler and the late Tina Darlene Marler; devoted grandmother of Joshua Marler and the late Elaine Marler; cherished great-grandmother of Lucas Davis and Dustin Davis; loving sister of Darlene Foust; and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Fayrean was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her daughter, her granddaughter, and her siblings: Willadean White, Gleason Foust and Arliss Foust.

Fayrean never lost her country-girl spirit. She was an expert at horseshoes, had great aim and could outshoot a man, and loved to ride the go kart - even when she was 84 years of age. She had an indomitable spirit and will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.

A visitation will be held in Mt. Healthy, Ohio at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 12 pm with the funeral service to immediately follow at 1 pm. Burial will be at Bevis Cedar Grove Cemetery in Colerain, Ohio where she will be laid to rest with her husband and her daughter.
