Dorothy Hurley, age 86 of Oxford, Ohio passed away peacefully Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Hospice of Hamilton. Dorothy was born September 03, 1937 to James Leslie and Margaret Lucile (nee:Timblin) Bell in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, and was one of 11 children. She worked for Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for almost 60 years. She was a member of the Des Fleurs Club, and the Reily Alumni class of 1955, who met regularly and were all close friends. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, and entertaining her many friends and family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband James Walter "Jim" Hurley, and grandchildren Bobbi Hurley and Josh Hurley. She is survived by her loving children Jim (Tracie) Hurley, Cindy Hurley, and John (Mary) Hurley; grandchildren Christopher Chafin, Katie (Geoff) Sims, Kenny Hurley, Abigail Hurley, Jonathon Hurst, and Lorie (Joe) DiStaola, Tim (Kylie) Brown; great-grandchildren Casey Chafin, and Caleb Chafin; brothers George Bell, Bill (Susan) Bell, Harvey (Tori) Bell, sisters Mary Bartow, Celia Rozar and sister in law Kathy Prescott, as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins, special friends Becky Hurley and the Eich family.

A memorial service is currently being planned for a later date and time.
