Donald C. Knobeloch was born on September 2, 1931 and passed away peacefully on November 25, 2022. Don was a US Army Veteran and a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge of IL, where he served as Worshipful Master, 1971 – 1972.

Don was raised in Missouri and graduated from Beaumont High School when he was 15.  At 16, his first year in college, he student taught calculus.  He graduated from Washington University and the University of Missouri, earning  a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering.  He was a successful Research Chemist and was instrumental in the development of 3 separate company patents. He retired from Quantum in 1991 after 31 years.

Donald leaves behind the love of his life, Mary.  They celebrated 66 years of marriage in June.  He also leaves behind his loving children, son Jeff (Tina), daughter Sandy Plenz, and grandchildren, Ryan, Heather, and Jacob. He is preceded in death by his parents and both of his brothers. Don will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who came to know him through the years.

Services for Don will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, POB 851, Hamilton, OH 45012,  and the Arthur Lodge #825 A.F. & A.M., 224 S. Walnut, Arthur, IL 61911.
