Obituary

MARTIN, Darrin Keith age 30 of Fairfield Township, Ohio passed away tragically on Thursday, December 21, 2023 while doing what he loved, dirt biking. Darrin was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 6, 1993, the son of Brian and Kimberly Martin (nee Keyes). For grade school, he attended both Sacred Heart of Jesus School and Fairfield City Schools. He graduated from Fairfield High School and Butler Tech (Automotive Technology) in 2011. After high school, he earned an Associates of Applied Science in General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio.

While in college, Darrin co-oped at Jake Sweeney Chevrolet, and after graduation became a full-time employee in their service department. He was later employed at Team Fishel. In 2016 he started at Mean Green Mowers and developed a true passion for this work. He enjoyed working and traveling as a Technical Field Service Specialist.

Darrin grew up with a thrill for life and adventure. From a young age, he loved all things dirt bike, street bike, boating, karting, and cars. Additionally, he always had a love of fixing things, often to make them faster and more fun. He was a true daredevil with a smile and energy that could light up any room. His love for adventure and a good time only grew as he got older. In his free time, you would find Darrin boating in the summer and dirt biking any chance he could get.

The only thing Darrin loved more than a good adventure was his family, his friends, and his dogs. When he could combine enjoying his passions of dirt biking or boating with hanging out with friends and family, that was when he was the happiest. He loved a good party and was always up for trying and enjoying new things. Darrin was both kind and generous, someone you could count on to be there for you and to make you laugh. He was loyal and he was loved by many.

Darrin is survived in death by his proud and loving parents, Brian and Kim Martin of Fairfield Township, Ohio. His best friends were his two brothers Justin (Alyssa) Martin, and Brandon (Hannah) Martin. He was the proud uncle of Kayleigh, Mavrick, Colton, Holden and Arlo Martin. Darrin is also survived in death by his grandparents Larry and Helen Martin of Millville, Ohio, and Frederick Keyes of Fairfield, Ohio. He was the loving nephew of Jeff (Theresa) Martin, Neal (Tina) Martin, Kelly (Scott) Manley, Frederick (Audrey) Keyes, Kristin (Mark) Sams, Kendra (Jim) Anglin, and Kevin (Stephanie) Keyes. He was also a cherished cousin to Michael (Brittiany) Martin, Mark (Stefanie) Martin, Mitchell Martin, Craig (Hannah) Martin, Christopher (Jessica) Martin, Nicholas, Katie, Lauren and Tyler Manley, Ainsley Keyes, Colin and Ryan Sams, Andrew, Liam, Grace, and George Anglin, Charlie and Nora Keyes, Leah (Garrett) Rumford, and Reagan (Kinley) Gibson.

Darrin is preceded in death by his loving and devoted grandmother Janet (Kuntz) Keyes, his nephew Lawson Martin who was born into Heaven, and his faithful canine companions Buster, Tigger and Throttle.
