Clayton Spivey, devoted husband and father, age 82 of Vienna, West Virginia passed away peacefully at his residence on September 27, 2026. Clayton was born June 18, 1944 in McKee, KY to Hazel (Wicker) Spivey and Clifton Spivey. He retired from General Motors in Dayton, Ohio after 31 years of service and enjoyed a successful second career in home remodeling. 

Clayton was predeceased by his parents, sisters Mona Grevey and Norma Jean Abner. Survivors include his wife of 62 years Melissa (Smith) Spivey of Vienna, WV, son Mitchell (Kristie) Spivey of Parkersburg, WV, daughter Mona Spivey, Parkersburg, WV, grandchildren Sophia Spivey of Fort Worth, TX, Hazel Spivey of Portland, OR and Opal Spivey of Minneapolis, MN, brothers Carl Spivey of Hamilton, OH, Boyd Spivey of McKee, KY and sister Gail Begley of Springhill, FL. 

Clayton will be remembered as a classic car enthusiast attending numerous car shows in Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee and Florida. He was a member of Mason Lodge No. 678, Mason, OH and Fellowship Christian Center, Hamilton, OH.
