Carrie was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Carol Ann (nee Knueven) and Thomas John Gerhardt, Jr. She is the beloved wife of James Alan Sams; devoted daughter of Tom Gerhardt; loving mother of Jerry (Tammie) Huber and Tony Huber; cherished grandmother of Landen Huber, Savannah Huber, Ava Huber and Declan Huber; dear sister of Ginger (Charles) Fuerbacher, Thomas John Gerhardt, III, Susie Decker, Herman John Gerhardt and Jackie Gerhardt; and dear friend of her angel on earth Pam Helscher.

Carrie loved her family fiercely and was especially proud of being Mamaw to her grandchildren. She's now joyfully reunited in heaven with her loving mother Carol Ann Gerhardt.

A visitation for Carrie will be held at Paul R. Young Funeral Home in Mt. Healthy on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 10 am until time of service at 11 am.
