Chris was born in Dayton, Ohio to Jessie Belle (nee Squires) and Christopher Schumacher, Sr. on June 4, 1941. He is the beloved husband of Linda (nee Jenkins) Schumacher; devoted father of Tina (the late Dennis) Turner, Kim (Eric) VonBargen and Christopher Clinton Schumacher, III; cherished grandfather of Ethan VonBargen, Alex Turner, Kurtis VonBargen, Elise Turner and Konnor VonBargen; dear brother of Norma (the late Dr. Thomas) Sefton.

Chris taught math at Cutter Jr. High, Taft High School, White Oak Jr. High and Northwest High School; he also enjoyed his time as the wrestling coach at Taft High School, White Oak Jr. High and Northwest High School. He had a passion for fishing, especially when he could take his grandchildren, and he also enjoyed going on fishing trips with his buddies. Chris loved to also travel with Linda to Canada, the Great Lakes, Cruises and anywhere with water and great fishing. Back at home, he loved to spend time working with Linda in his home vegetable garden.

A visitation for Chris will be held at Groesbeck United Methodist Church, 8871 Colerain Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45251, on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 10 am until time of service at 12 pm. Donations may be made to Queen City Hospice or Groesbeck Church.
