Christopher J. O'Connor was born in Stoughton, Massachusetts, on January 29, 1967, to Sally Ann (nee Lockyer) and James E. O'Connor. He was a proud graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and served with distinction in the United States Army. After the Army, he worked as a consultant across the government.

Chris’s greatest joy was his family. He loved coaching his daughter's soccer team and cheering on his son at all his baseball games. An avid sports fan, he loved Army Football, the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and the Washington Nationals.

He was the beloved husband of Martha (nee Treichel) O'Connor; devoted father of Brigid O'Connor and Brendan O'Connor; and dear brother of James (Kelly) O'Connor and Shawn (Nadine) O'Connor. He also cherished his role as an uncle, great-uncle and brother-in-law to many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members. Chris was deeply loved and will be terribly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8710 Mount Vernon Highway, Alexandria VA on October 9, 2026 at 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at Daniel O’Connell’s Irish Restaurant & Bar, 112 King Street, Alexandria VA. A private burial will be held in Massachusetts at a later date.
