Bruce M. Johns of Mason, Ohio passed away on November 24, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born in Mansfield Ohio to Mary (nee Jordan) and Russell Johns on September 14, 1940.

Bruce attended Miami University of Ohio where he studied business and pledged Theta Chi Fraternity. It was at Miami that he met his future wife Carolyn Haupt. They married on July 27, 1963, becoming a "Miami Merger."

Bruce enlisted in the United States Marine Corp after college and completed basic training at Camp Lejeune, then served in the reserves for several years.

Bruce was employed with The Hartford Insurance and later Great American Insurance, roles that would take the family across the country several times.

Bruce is survived by his wife of sixty years, Carolyn Haupt Johns. Father of Katherine (Patrick) Qua, Gregory Johns, and Steven Johns. Also survived by his grandchildren, Caitlin (Maggi) Qua, Megan (Christopher) Kaercher, Brian (Megan) Qua, and Brody Johns. Preceded in death by his sister Sharon Johns Schneurer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on December 4, 2023 at 11:30-1:30pm at Paul R. Young Funeral home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mounty Healthy, OH, 45231. Funeral service will immediately follow at 1:30pm. Internment at Arlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Bruce's name to ANGEL PAWS.
