Obituary

Bruce Edward George, 68, of Mixerville, Indiana, passed away on October 23, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, unfinished projects, and cherished memories.

Born on August 30, 1958, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Bruce was the son of the late Shirley Suffridge and John George. Bruce married the love of his life, Nora (Sizemore) George, on October 4, 1986. Together, they recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nora; his children, Benjamin (Lauren) George and Brittni (Jachyn) Laney; and his beloved grandchildren, Madelyn and Audrey George. He is also survived by his brothers, Timothy George, and Michael Suffridge, and sisters, Teresa George and Tracey Suffridge. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bruce began his career as a semi-truck driver at just 16 years old, dedicating much of his life to the road. When he wasn't behind the wheel, he could often be found tinkering with something, working on another project, or adding to his seemingly endless collection of tools and gadgets. If you needed a particular tool, chances were Bruce had several. And if he didn't have it, he was more than happy to buy it. Whether something needed fixing or a school project needed building, he was always the first person his family called.

Bruce was incredibly intelligent, hardworking, and truly one of a kind. He was funny, full of knowledge, and always seemed to have an answer or solution for just about anything. There was simply no one else quite like him. He also had a special love for Christmas music, something his family will always remember about him.

While Bruce may have left behind a few unfinished projects, he accomplished his greatest goal of making it through those pearly gates. His family will forever cherish his humor, wisdom, and the countless memories he leaves behind.
