Bonita Lohrey Riddle, 72, of Oxford, Ohio passed away on June 5, 2023.

Bonnie was born on January 22, 1951 to Joyce Combs Wooton and Wallace Wooton in Wooton, KY. She attended Reily School from first grade through her junior year of high school and graduated from Talawanda High School in 1969. She went on to study Nursing and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1982. She was an avid and talented gardener and floral designer. Bonnie owned an herb farm and small business, The Herb Garden, in the 1990's.

Bonnie overflowed with creativity and made everything from handmade books, jewelry and quilts to clothing and watercolor paintings. She grew up close to nature and remained so throughout her life. She found solace in a simple walk in the woods.

All who knew Bonnie knew how she loved to laugh. Her quick, offbeat and often dark sense of humor was one of her most memorable qualities. Bonnie was a generous and loyal friend, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and wife.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Brian Douglas Lohrey and Jessica Lohrey; granddaughter, Megan Alexandra Lohrey; sisters, Wayna Margaret Baker, Patricia Harmon, and Elizabeth Wooton; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Wayne Lohrey and her second husband, Lawrence David Riddle.

There will be a memorial service and visitation at 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Ogle and Paul R. Young Funeral home at 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, OH 45056.
