Audrey Louise
Dodson
Dec 1, 1933 — Feb 24, 2025
Audrey was born in Flint, Michigan to Maurice and Madge Perry on December 1, 1933. She was a longtime resident of Michigan where she married Ed and raised their family. She was a 1952 graduate of Flint Technical High School and worked many years in finance. She and her family have now called Liberty, Indiana home for many years. She was a talented organist who played at several different churches over the years and even played at horse shows when she lived in Michigan. Audrey was well known for her hospitality. She was a wonderful baker, with prized recipes, and made the best cookies and pies. Christmas was her favorite time of year and she hosted many open houses with elaborate decor and delicious treats. She stayed active as an avid walker and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles (the hard kind). Audrey volunteered her time, serving as a hospice volunteer when she lived in Michigan. She loved God and had a heart for serving people through her friendship and kindness. She and Ed were always taking people into their home. It's no wonder that many, beyond their three children, called them "Mom" and "Dad."
Audrey is the beloved mother of Shelley Dodson; dear grandmother of Katie (D.J.) Goodman, Ryan Dodson and Carlie (Catie) Dodson; she is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and her sister in law Esther Dodson. She's preceded in death by her cherished husband Edmond Dodson, daughter Melodye Dodson, son Jeffery Dodson, seven siblings, and treasured friends Nancy, Nina and Florence.
