Monica Morris, peacefully transitioned from her earthly tabernacle to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 18, 2019. Monica was born on March 5, 1969 in Oxford, Ohio, to the late Wince and Willie C. (Smith) Morris. She graduated from Talawanda High School in Oxford, Ohio and received her Associate degree in Interior Design from Antonelli College, Cincinnati, Ohio. Monica was an active member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed using her artistic creativity to assist in decorating for church events and other family celebrations, spending time with her family, crafting and gardening. She was loved by everyone who met her and she touched many lives. Her sense of humor and loving personality brightened the day of all those she met.
Monica is preceded in death by her parents, Wince and Willie Morris, sister Delilah Morris, and brother-in-love Leon Render. She leaves to cherish her memory sisters, Debra Burton, Sandra (John) McIntosh, Cheryl (Darryl) Jackson, Priscilla Parks, Dana Render, Jana Byrd, Bridgite (Charles) Dickerson, Jr., Michelle Morris, brother Wince (Kristina) Morris, nieces and nephews Brandon McIntosh, Amber (Thomas) Barger, Brianna McIntosh, Jessica Morris, Joshua Parks; Devonte’ Duncan, Jarrod Morris; DeMarcus Dickerson, Josiah Jackson, Joanna Jackson, Jemiya Jackson, Amare Morris, and Raiyah Morris, great nieces and great nephews Kae’la Barger, Dallas Morris-Williams, Demetrius Morris-Williams, Nyomi Moore, Kingston McIntosh, Akeem Moore, DeMarcus Dickerson, Jr., Kam’ryn Barger, Deja Morris-Williams, Delilah Jean Morris, La’Rissa Parks, aunt Adell Morris (Huntsville, Alabama), a host of cousins, her church family, the extended family of Kathy Butterfield, Best Western Sycamore Inn staff and many, many friends.
Visitation for Monica Morris will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30 at First Baptist Church, 6701 Ringwood Road in Oxford, Ohio. Funeral services will begin promptly at noon. Officiating Pastor Darryl Jackson. Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery in Oxford. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be directed to First Baptist Church Building Fund.
