Joan Kelly Burket, age 91, beloved wife of the late Robert L. Burket, MD., to whom she was married for 60 years. Joan was born July 27, 1926, in New Haven, Connecticut, to the late Alfrida (nee Liljedahl) and Edward Kelly, and was graduated from Oberlin College.  She was cherished by her five children, Robert (Diane) Burket Marie (Gerald) Andersen, Richard Burket, Jonathan Burket, Dr. Rebecca Burket (Randy Donohue); eleven grandchildren, Shannon Burket (Maarten Foubert), Brooke Burket, the late Robert Kissel Burket, Paul Burket, Beth (Rick) Nelson, Kellyann Castillo, Tori (Nick) Dimitroff, Olivia Marie Burket, Benjamin Robert Burket, Jill Burket Ragase (Mark Ragase), Leanne (Stephen J.) Mallory; and nine great-grandchildren, Alexander, Jonas, Willem, and Lincoln Foubert; Philippa, Truman, Quintin and Penelope Ragase; and Finley Mallory; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Burket Kielbowicz, and many nieces and nephews.  Joan was an active member of Greenhills Community Church, Presbyterian, and a former member of the Greenhills Woman’s Club and the Greenhills Community Theatre. A gifted artist, she enjoyed gardening, painting, embroidery and many other crafts.  Her home was always filled with children and animals, and she made every day beautiful. Joan went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2018. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 17th from 9:30 AM until time of the Funeral Service at 12 PM at Greenhills Community Church, Presbyterian, 21 Cromwell Road, Cincinnati, OH 45218. Interment will immediately follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to Greenhills Community Church, Presbyterian; Disabled American Veterans; or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
