Jerald A. Thackrey, Sr.

Jerald A. Thackrey, age 74, passed away on April 24, 2019. He was born in Fairfield, Indiana on March 14, 1945. He was the son of Benjamin Frances Thackrey and Ella Margaret (nee Stewart) Thackrey. He is survived by his wife, Linda C. (nee Lucas) Thackrey, after 51 years of marriage, his three children, a son, Jerald A. Thackrey, Jr. of Evansville, Indiana, daughters, June C. Adler of Mazomanie, Wisconsin and Jeanette L. Thackrey of Oxford, Ohio. He has five grandchildren, four granddaughters and one grandson. He is also survived by his brother, James F. Thackrey of Liberty, Indiana and a sister, Mary F. Campbell of Brookville, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Frances and Ella Margaret (nee Stewart) Thackrey. Jerald was long life resident of Oxford, Ohio. He retired from Square D Electric (Schneider Group) after 35 years of dedicated service in 2004. He later was an employee of the Oxford Walmart for five years. He loved fishing for catfish, mushroom hunting and travel trips to Hueston Woods to visit the ducks with his life long love, Linda. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and working with his brother, Jim, at Jim’s house in the summertime. Dad will be always and forever in our hearts. He is now and forever in paradise with the Lord. As per his wishes, there will not be a public visitation or service.
